DocHolladay23
I've found that sleeping with a rubber glove filled with cayenne pepper typically keeps me from over-jacking, but I cannot guarantee its success. That being said Costco had a nice solution for me for less than $100. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] You want stickers? Hit me up here!!! You want a shirt? Hit me up here!!! -The Boss-
This is the only Costco one I see and its $200 http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=11608569&search=jack&Mo=12&cm_re=1_en-_-Top_Left_Nav-_-Top_search&lang=en-US&Nr=P_CatalogName:BC&Sp=S&N=5000043&whse=BC&Dx=mode+matchallpartial&Ntk=Text_Search&Dr=P_CatalogName:BC&Ne=4000000&D=jack&Ntt=jack&No=4&Ntx=mode+matchallpartial&Nty=1&topnav=&s=
DocHolladay23
I hate Costco's site, it never shows what they have in the stores. At every Costco local to me they have a $95, I think 2 ton jack, I just can't remember the brand, but I'll check when I get home tonight. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] You want stickers? Hit me up here!!! -The Boss-
Everyone using ramps?
Mega Users seabass07 Posted January 4, 2011 Mega Users Share Posted January 4, 2011 Harborfreight has a 3 ton up to 20" for $79. I use jackstands instead of ramps. As for the other problem, it's only an issue is you run out of lube. That's when you will get blisters.
Boostin1657615274
Just bought this one today: http://www.harborfreight.com/2-ton-low-profile-floor-service-jack-67022.html Will get back to you on how it works. Had 2 Craftsman floor jacks before, they suck ass, do not buy. On the search for a new DD...
DavidBlaine
If you were in Canada I would say Canadian Tire. They have lifetime warranty jacks. Yes you heard correct. I bought mine for like $75 on sale 10 years ago and have gone through like 3 so far. Just take the old one back, show them the leak, and presto. New jack. Doesn't Craftsman warranty theirs? AShoe
After having repeated seal failures on several craftsman, harbor freight, and other no name Chinese jacks, I bought a Norco 71232. It lifts easier and faster despite it's lower rating than my last craftsman jack, and has lasted for two years with no signs of leakage or sagging (I regularly lift my Land Cruiser with it, the weight on the front axle is over 3k lbs). If you're looking for the last jack you want to buy it's a good place to start.

Boostin1657615274
My review of the Harbor Freight 2 Ton Low Profile Service Jack -Lowest minimum height I have ever seen on a jack at 2-7/8" -Goes higher than my old Crapsman SUV jack at 20-1/16" -Jacking up speed is about average, effort is about average -Letting down the car is smoother than any jack I have yet owned -Pretty heavy at 75 lbs, but less weight than the real heavy duty jacks at over 100 lbs -Purchased a 1-year warranty for $12 -Can't really comment on longevity since I have had it for less than a week, but it works great so far Doesn't Craftsman warranty theirs? Common misconception. Craftsman only warranty's Hand Tools, their power/hydraulic tools are made in China shit that they fool you into thinking are made in USA just because the brand name. IanB
The one that failed was a Costco's one. It lasted 6 long years. Have you tried exchanging it for a new one? I've never had Costco give me any grief over any returns or exchanges, they are the BEST for that. The worst they could say is no.
TheWeatherWarrior
This is the only Costco one I see and its $200 http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=11608569&search=jack&Mo=12&cm_re=1_en-_-Top_Left_Nav-_-Top_search&lang=en-US&Nr=P_CatalogName:BC&Sp=S&N=5000043&whse=BC&Dx=mode+matchallpartial&Ntk=Text_Search&Dr=P_CatalogName:BC&Ne=4000000&D=jack&Ntt=jack&No=4&Ntx=mode+matchallpartial&Nty=1&topnav=&s=1 In fact....as someone stated, Harbor Freight. This jack (link above) look nearly as good, if not exactly the same as HF version: http://www.harborfreight.com/3000-lb-capacity-lightweight-aluminum-racing-jack-91039.html For $80. Costco marks up there stuff crazy high. I see them charge ABOVE retail for their tires and still charge for installation. What a joke.
OutbackXT05
I bought that same 2 ton harbor frieght jack on sale for 80 bucks sadly the 20% coupon wasnt able to be used on jacks. And so far I love it. It fits under my friends 240's frame thats set all the way down on tien coilovers. I was able to lift a ford probe chump car while on the ground talking on my phone with 1 hand and was relatively easy. Pros: Price, very low jack point, 20 inch lift height, one of the better feeling lowering controlability, the pole is good for indenting firewalls, stylish (Tomei, mishimoto, godspeed stickers and a spec R badge) (I can't comment on longevity but Ive lifted a crap ton of cars these last 2 months and so far not even a single hiccup) Cons: It's a bit heavy having to carry it around, but I didnt buy it to be light, the wheel casters could be better (sometimes the jack wont want to move instead it pushes the car wen dropping) all you have to do sometimes is straighten the wheels out, and lastly ground clearance I seen to always get stuck on a extension cord or carpet lol
ssbtech
I bought a 2-ton Michelin jack. Used it once and it has been leaking oil ever since.
