LGT.com Teach me about parts compatibility

Hey all, I've been searching for some kind of list of any and all parts which are swappable between the LGT (4th gen), and the WRX/STi.

I know the 08-up WRX turbos are a direct bolt-on for us, as well as front sway bars, and I know Brembo's are possibility with little work, but I've been unable to find out if there are any strut/coilover options which are the same across both platforms.

For instance, will STi struts, from an 04, bolt up to an LGT?

Are the top hats a different design, and would they be swappable?

What is the difference between the USDM and JDM LGT top hats? I've noticed some struts require the use of one or the other.

Thanks everyone!

The reason only Legacy parts work with only the Legacy is that the suspension design is specific to this car. The older Impreza had a multi link rear and the new Impreza has a revised version of what you have.

As far as JDM vs USDM, the STi or any other special variation JDM Legacy used what the US Spec B got. Hence slight trim differences between items. Otherwise the standard JDM Legacy has the same stuff you do. So when it comes to getting something, get LGT only. Front Brembos will bolt on, rears require some work.

Check out some of the FAQs and stickies for more specifics. Hope this helps.

Thank you AZP!

I knew the GD chassis Impreza ran a macpherson strut/multilink set-up, but I wasn't really sure what our cars were equipped with.

I've read through most of the FAQ's and honestly I've been a little disappointed with them. It seems like they start off as a great idea, touch base on something, then move on.

Thanks for not calling me a n00b or something.
