imfamousG
what will i have to do to make it work?
WESTcoast
The midpipe will need to be extended and then modified as the rs's rear diff sits a bit higher along and ours a bit lower. so the bending of the angled part will be different. If you are not doing this yourself best to let a shop determine what all needs to be done which will be extending the mid pipe and changing some of the hangers around to fit. I have the same exhaust. If you are going to be cutting and rewelding it yourself, when putting it up you will see what all you will need to do.

WESTcoast
I have the catback, there is no downpipe as mine was off an 2.5rs. I first test fitted it and saw how short it was then just took it to an exhaust shop and they knew what to do.
imfamousG
i know that the catback wouldnt have a downpie. what i ment was did you get a catless or high flow cat downpipe with the headers and how much did that cost?

DOHCEJ22E1
how does it sound? [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oMFqfZfdXrU]1998 Subaru Legacy GT Limited w/DOHC EJ22E - YouTube[/ame] I have an exhaust like the one you're describing. This is more or less what to expect from it. Midpipe has to be cut & extended & make SURE you don't use any of that AZ steel. Trust me on that... Grimmrican
Your car does not have a downpipe..... If I'm not mistaken it's: headers, cat1 cat2 (bolts up to cat1), resonator, then muffler. So yes no down pipe up pipe if ur turbo. But that's a separate story
98legwag
My friend just put one on his 99 sedan. He had to extend the mid pipe. He also cut off all the hangers and welded on his own.
