carguyco
Don't read much about the banjo bolt on 2007 LGT....Same problem as the older ones? Not an issue? Is the check/inspect procedure the same? Thanks in advance...

Polo08816
I thought the filter was eliminated with the vf46... If there is a TSB for your car regarding a banjo bolt, then you have one. I remember seeing a TSB for my 2008 LGT 5EAT regarding the banjo bolt.

RJS5689
Uhm what banjo TSB? Do you mean TSB #02-103-07, because it's near impossible to find anything about it. I can't even find a copy of the TSB anywhere! From what I could find, the TSB said, "The Subaru solution is to decrease the oil change interval by 1/2 to 3750 miles (6,000km) or 3-3/4 months for both the crankcase oil and filter, and inspect the screen and oil supply pipe at every oil change." However, Subaru says this must be the service interval of ALL of their turbocharged vehicles. This is why I assume even the 2007+ vehicles still have them. I had an argument with my dealer over them not checking the banjo bolt on my car. They are actually not required to pull, check and clean it. Catalyst
So are people just taking the filter out, or replacing it? "This is an adventure."
DrCloud
Ugh. The '07 TSB says "for informational purposes only" and the '08 one eliminates that in favor of a "just do this..." approach. I've been having service done at an independent shop (dealerships here are not so good...), and it looks like I need to make sure they're aware of this.
