Blizzard
Redline makes good stuff, I am getting their shift boot/e-brake boot for my Z28. I don't really mind the stock one on the legacy though its very well made, maybe slightly boring.
Waaazooo
What does this run? I don't think the boot is good or bad. But, I don't stroke the boot of the shifter to guage its quality level.

BobGee
not sure what you mean by "nasty" mine is a nice clean piece of leather that looks good and matches the door panels Cheap? Plain? Flat? Dull? Boring? It's just a shiftboot no big deal but Redline makes a much nicer product.. I've had them in previous cars.. The shiftboot area is pretty large.. My friend has the GT and I think it's a huge negative on the interior.. Add a little detail to break up the solid black..

I will post pics when I recive the new boot.
SubeNoob22
i had a blue and black one in my sentra as well as the boot on the e-brake, it was worth it to break up the solid black. Easy install also, on my sentra anyway.
LegacyGT420
Does anyone know if there are any instructions on how to remove the shift boot? I would love to change it, I think the original significantly cheapens the interior.

A bit over $50.00 for the regular boot extra if you want multi colered thread or leather. You can build what you want on redlines site and get an exact price without making the purchase. ifly61ce
Does anyone know if there are any instructions on how to remove the shift boot? I would love to change it, I think the original significantly cheapens the interior. I will be making a "How to" for redline when I get my boot, shipped yesterday should arrive 5-2-10. It is really easy though, I used a trim tool but that is not needed. 1. Use a plastic knife to remove the rubber from the compartment in front of the shifter, (where you keep change). 2. That revels a hole in the forward part of the shifter consol. 3. Put your fingers in the hole and pull up, the consol will come out. It is held together by 2 clips in the front and 2 just forward of the seat heat buttons. The back of the consol just slides forward to release. 4. Turn upside down (no need to remove seat heat wires) and you will find a cream colered ring that holds the boot to the consol. 5. Start in the right front corner, (you will see 9 tabs that need to be released) and push one tab at a time while working the ring free. Be carefull not to pull up at the back of the ring as it just slides out of a hole holding it in place. I hope that is clear, I can post some pics if you need them. ifly61ce
Here are a few more Hi res pictures of the Redline Boot, BobGee is correct you can really customize the colors if you choose I choose to keep the stock look. Let me know what you think, I know it is a big improvement over stock. Someone needs to post a picture of the stock boot to compare! http://i930.photobucket.com/albums/ad147/ifly61ce/2010%20Legacy%20GT/Redlinegoods%20Shifter%20boot/IMG_6084.jpg http://i930.photobucket.com/albums/ad147/ifly61ce/2010%20Legacy%20GT/Redlinegoods%20Shifter%20boot/IMG_6082.jpg http://i930.photobucket.com/albums/ad147/ifly61ce/2010%20Legacy%20GT/Redlinegoods%20Shifter%20boot/IMG_6079.jpg http://i930.photobucket.com/albums/ad147/ifly61ce/2010%20Legacy%20GT/Redlinegoods%20Shifter%20boot/IMG_6077.jpg http://i930.photobucket.com/albums/ad147/ifly61ce/2010%20Legacy%20GT/Redlinegoods%20Shifter%20boot/IMG_6070.jpg

ifly61ce
The Boot is $44.00 it may be a bit more if you want custom colored thread or leather, but very reasonable. Well worth the effort in my opinion, much better quality and feel. Here is a link to thier products, http://www.redlinegoods.com/cgi-bin/uam/x.cgi?a=r&id=1&aid=648 Here is a picture I got off the net to compare as my original boot is gone. http://i930.photobucket.com/albums/ad147/ifly61ce/2010%20Legacy%20GT/Redlinegoods%20Shifter%20boot/Stockboot.jpg Here is the Redline boot. http://i930.photobucket.com/albums/ad147/ifly61ce/2010%20Legacy%20GT/Redlinegoods%20Shifter%20boot/IMG_6082.jpg
