Guest
Just get HIR bulbs for high beams. TONS of light. Search for reviews. And get rid of DRLs.
GTDriver
you have to have DRLs in canada + The HIR are only 2350 Lumens and the 55w HID's are 4100 Lumens at 5000k
Knight705
u can mod ur foglight to be independent and then in turn use those as drl, and then u can get rid of the OEM drl system.
LGT Dave
You'll have to do something about the DRL's if you decide to put HID in your high beams. When the DRL's are on, the car supplies only a partial voltage to those lights (so they don't blind people). That low voltage will make HID's do a strobe effect rather than work right and will eventually wear out the ballasts and bulbs.
Guest
Seriously, HIRs throw crazy amount of light. Almost too much - the signs reflect too much almost to blind you. Must be nature of the high beams, but trust me unless you're blind you do not want more light than HIDs. Try, they cost only like $24 a piece. the_marquis78
you don't want HID for high beams and I'm not actually sure you can buy them. HID lights take a second or 2 to initialize when you turn them on which often defeats the purpose of having high beams because they are often used only to flash quickly. It's easy to convert your fog lights to DRL...all you do is unplug 2 cords and plug one into the other...search for DRL, should be easy to find.
