BigTicket
Hey folks, Hoping to get some help with a intermittent problem I'm having with my A/C. I have the HVAC system and twice now the A/C has completely shut down on me. No air coming out of the vents at all, the HVAC display works and so do all the controls though. Both times I've just left the system on and then it just turns starts blasting cold air and works fine. The first time it happened was about two months ago and the last one was just this past week. It's working fine now but from hours of googling this problem I've narrowed the issue down to the blower motor relay is starting to fail. Does anyone know where the blower motor relay is and what it looks like? I've tried to look up part numbers but it's like this part doesn't exist even though numerous sites have said that is the part that is failing. I'm hoping to get a part number too so I can replace it before it fails completely. Thanks in advance!
SARCruiser
Test procedure and location diagram from FSM for relay. There's also a resistor module in the dash behind/next to the blower assembly that may be causing issues with fan speed control if the relay(s) test out OK.blower motor relay.pdf
BigTicket
Awesome!! Thank you! From what I found yesterday on google I guess on older models it's located near the blower motor or near the driver's side fuses. This makes it a lot easier to get to.
