Chuckadian
So while driving, in any gear, my car gets the hiccups... About 2-3k rpm, the engine cuts out and catches again instantly. The lights or cabin fan doesn't die, just the engine. Just quick enough to make the car jerk real quick, then on it goes like nothing happened. It is pretty random, sometimes twice in a day, sometimes not for a week or two. Any suggestions of where to start with this issue? Fuel related maybe? Thanks! Zues Marine
judging by the picture... i'd say it's your fuel pump
SBT
Fuel pump, dirty fuel filter, O2 sensor, dirty throttle plate, failing inlet air solenoid, dirty (or going bad) injector(s). Just a couple of quick thoughts. - Pro amore Dei et patriam et populum -

Chuckadian
It's actually been a while for spark plug wires. Was thinking about doing those with an MSD coil upgrade
SBT
Save your $$ on the MSD coilpack and stick with an OEM CP/wires if you need them. - Pro amore Dei et patriam et populum -

SBT
Not in my experience - with three different NA Subarus - no material or quantitative performance difference over OEM. - Pro amore Dei et patriam et populum -

Green98LegacyGT
Possible fuel pump or filter should be checked. From my experience with my older vw gti, my car was bogging here and there with rough idling and a buzzy sound coming from the back near the gas tank.
