Some of you say you have plenty of room and some say you don't. I sat in a 2008 Legacy Limited with a sunroof. I have a long torso and sit straight up with good posture (not reclined seating) and my head is hitting the ceiling (sunroof).

One of you mentioned you getting a sport seat. Good idea, but how? Where? I called several sport auto places and said they dont make mounting kits for new Legacies. Only older models.

I have called every dealership in a 300 mile radius, auto trader, and craigslist. Not one 2006-08 legacy without a sunroof available!
Similar to several other comments, I have the infamous long torso problem.
I was able to find a very comfortable seating position by tilting the seat back slightly and extending the steering wheel.

Ultimately, if you can't find a comfortable seating position, it isn't the right car for you. My wife drives an impreza and there seems to be more headroom in that. Alternatively, the new 2010 might work (if you can afford it).

Saw a guy who was about 6'5" at an autox. He couldn't fit with a helmet so he put in a fixed back racing seat with side mounts to lower the seat. Good luck!

I don't know about that, it seems as though most people on here are commenting that there is plenty of head room. As mentioned by:

I wonder if the 2.5i doesn't have the electronically ajustable seats. Can anyone confirm? Perhaps you should find yourself a nice GT so that you fit plus a GT or spec. B is also more fun!

personaly im a diy guy so i would get a sport seat ( recaro, sparco, or the like) and have it mounted in the stock rails. it can be done. i have a race settup for gran turismo 5 with the g27 wheel and i swapped the cheesy child sized plastic seat for a stock subaru driver seat from my leg gt.

Okay, so a quick search on www.cars101.com shows that the only Legacy from '06 to '08 w/o a sunroof is a base level 2.5i. Anything else (2.5i SE or 2.5i Limited) will have sunroofs. If you're looking for a LGT, the only year where it didn't have a sunroof was in '05 and that was on the non-limited edition of the LGT.
