axis008
Not too bad! I like the way it looks. If it were me, I would think about painting that pod black. The silver does match the turbo timer, though. Also, are those bezels on the gauges removable? -ben
Xenonk
am I reading your boost gauge right that it goes up past 30 psi? Man, that needle isn't going to move much care to tell the audience where you found YOUR AFR signal line? Some people have been asking me about it and from your install of 3 hours, I didnt see you lift or open your passenger side to get the tap off the ECU. I doubt you are running a wideband, so I guess you just want to see some needles sweep up and down as you drive? Heh, I guess you dont need to know your engine/coolant temp levels and fuel as much They aren't as important as watching the boost and AFR. Are you running any kind of engine management?? wayne53
hmm..the mouse ears don't look as bad as I though they would. but why a turbo timer? -Tyler
AWDxBOOST
turbo timer to save the turbo...thats just basics for a turbocharged car no engine management, afr line is on the ecu...the rear ones are narrow band, but i dont have the service manual, i just borrowed it from work actually afr is very important on a turbo car...if you lean out then say goodbye to your pistons, and like i always have said...worry about what you like on your car, not what i like on mine...i was hopin people were a lil less harsh on this forum, but o well its all good coming next week: utec turboback uppipe tmic

illt3ck
looks good man, nice work. Was the Blitz unit a difficult install?
AWDxBOOST
not at all with the legacy harness...accordin to blitz i have the second one sold in the us.... just unplug the ignition (just above the steering column adjuster), then plug it into one side of the harness, and the other side goes back into the ignition plug, and the third side goes to the box unit, which controls it.... from there its just wiring, you can ground the parking brake wire to bypass it
rc0032
What style of gauges are those? Are they red or orange? 52mm or 60?
Gire
I think they look dope. I really need a turbo timer myself but am waiting for next Saturday when I get my Compustar 2WFM900-AS installed, with a built-in TT. Is Compustar from Firstech a big Security brand down in the USA or does DEI (Viper, Avital, Clifford) reign supreme?
illt3ck
Only thing I'd change is to go with the BF white series guages. They would match our cluster perfectly.
AWDxBOOST
52...i think 60 would be a lil big for column...they are white when not lit up, orange when lit...look good to me
mmm def
Looks great! Looks like it blocks your Fuel and Temp gauges?
axis008
They don't block anything. It's just the perspective of the camera. -ben
Deer Killer
They don't block anything. It's just the perspective of the camera. uuuh.. hmmmm.. Doesn't really seem that way.. Unless you are really tall I suppose

rc0032
You can adjust the distance between the “ears” to fit your needs. O-O or O—O or O-----O
AWDxBOOST
nah u cant adjust it, and its fine for me, doesnt block anything but the 150-160 part of the speedo...if you lower the steering column then you can see all of it
rc0032
nah u cant adjust it Are you sure? Perrin sent me a few pics a while back with them adjusted way out and way in.
crash
There is no need for a Turbo Timer on any turbocharged Subaru. The Coolant flows through the turbo even with the car off via convection.... You are wasting your money by buying a turbo timer IMO.
AWDxBOOST
yep in your opinion...but in mine tt saves turbo bc its the oil, not the coolant that lubes the bearings... my girlfriend bought it and i love it : )
mccorry
Could you snap a picture of the gauges from eye level for me? I would like to see how much of the factory gauges are blocked. Thanks....
