Welding projects

Recommended Posts

I have seen a few people around here that have welded some parts for their cars. I have a lot of thing I have made, not much for my car yet though. Lets get a picture thread going for your welding projects. Post your welding setup also! We can use this for welding help also.

I will take some pictures of my projects and post them later.

I currenly have a miller millermatic 140, miller tombstone 225 AC and a small no name 110v stick for sheet metal.

The only welding I've done on my Legacy is fixing the exhaust. heh.

BUT my GL has had some serious welding love... Most of it has been exhaust and body work, but some custom addons.

I made a custom rear bumper with trailer hitch

And just recently made a bike rack with spare steel laying around in the garage

I also welded 01 OBS seats in, but no pics of the welding there.. Sorry no legacy pics, but you could do all this stuff on a leaggy :D

I won't post any of my body work welding because it's not the best. hah.

  • I Donated
You should modify a Police pusher to fit our cars. It would be way cooler than a light bar because you can hit stuff with it!

I couldn't agree with you more skiboobs!

That is actually a REALLY good idea. If I had one of those, I could push cars instead of pulling them with a rope! And I wouldn't be worried about hitting trees when I go on the trails

That looks really good! Nice job there.

I'd really love to get a TIG some day, they're not practical for everything, but damn I can make some pretty welds with one.

Thanks!

Ever since ditching my Mig machine I have not had a project where I needed it. My machine will stick weld also.

The ability to do aluminum and stainless without switching gases or setting up a spool gun sold me.
