SleeperWagon
No idea how long it has been like this could be a year... I'm just lucky I dropped a bolt when I was doing my TMIC install! http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t93/specvictory/1cc340ec.jpg http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t93/specvictory/61e45a32.jpg Any repercussions that I will need to be fixed because of this? How should I fix this? Perrin, GSM...?
lieutenantcolumbo
Could be running lean since unmetered air looks like it can enter the system. Hopefully its not big enough of a hole to have done damage. Could also be sucking in dirt since that is unfiltered air. You could probably pick up an oem one cheap in the classifieds (if you don't see one, post up a wtb ad). Don't need an upgrade normally unless you have significant mods. But yeah, fix it fast! SleeperWagon
I had a leakdown test done a couple of weeks ago and it came back fine so maybe it hasn't effected much yet. I am planning on a 20g size turbo....
compsurge
Stock fits best. From my limited research: GMS fits horrible, Perrin fits, AVO fits better.
compsurge
While at it, replace that coolant hose above the turbo (that's the source of all the liquid).

SleeperWagon
Does anyone know if the 05-06? turbo inlet works on a 08? I picked up a used one but when I looked at mine it doesn't have the bendy part. http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t93/specvictory/d32efc8e.jpg
SleeperWagon
Nope... http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t93/specvictory/c70cad65.jpg http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t93/specvictory/49950ffb.jpg Think I could still use it? underpowerd
if i had to bet, i'd say it would do. the accordian section shift shouldn't make too much difference in fitment, and that different nipple up top is just for the pcv reference, iirc -- a standard (clamped) cap-off along with the jumper trick prescribed for most aftermarket inlet installs on the pcv device should solve that. i've never been that intimate with an 08 though, so take with a grain. lieutenantcolumbo
I have the AVO Silicone Inlet for an 07 - 09 LGT on my 05 LGT. Whoops
m sprank
I can assist with new OEM or aftermarket. Not going to work mixing model years unless you are going to replumb the PCV too. 07+ have the air pump solenoids to deal with.
SleeperWagon
I ended up getting one from the dealer there price was cheaper/Faster then Fred's with shipping and they are giving me a deal as it is most likely their fault it is ripped. Thanks though! Whats the ETA on the oil line kit?
m sprank
As fast as machine shop can get my parts done. Ordered a 4' x 8' sheet of 1/2" thick aluminum to cut the brackets. Prototype needed a minor change. Waiting for delivery of brackets now.
