keithk831
Can anyone tell me which version of SPT catback this is? I'm just curious. Here are a few pics. Let me know if you need a better angle or something.

Nachowang
V1's have oval shaped tips and V2's are round shaped tips
m sprank
That is a V2. Cans are deff V2. Also, 1 piece mid pipe. Cut it open at the "y" and get ready to throw up in your mouth. Nicely crushed pipes shoved together and welded. Good 30% restriction in flow at "y"
goneskiian
V2's also have the tip coming out of the center of the muffler, while V1's it comes out below center.

keithk831
V2's also have the tip coming out of the center of the muffler, while V1's it comes out below center. This has the tips off-center (slightly "out" from the center).
m sprank
Pics were posted. Trying to find them. Pipes are crushed together internally to fit in "y". Pipes are 30-50% crushed inside in pix. Another member chopped his open to show everyone.
grimsleeper
I was just curious. I always had a nagging feeling the SPT had a restriction somewhere I couldn't see - and it wasn't the 2.5" reduction 'cause I cut that out. Mufflers have more baffles than I would prefer but don't seem to be much worse than anything else on the market without going to a straight through design. Did a quick search and couldn't find 'em. I'll keep digging around.
BigBlack-V
I have that V2 on my car I am very happy with it. Wish it was a little louder though. I was 0. And I'm still a zero.

Underdog
Yeah, not too impressed with my V2 (+ twinscroll)... Visual aesthetic-wise it is a nice piece IMO, but the sound and y-pipe fabrications sucks. I have heard it on non-twinscroll and it sounds better but still not up to par with a well designed CBE like the Cobb/Stromung. I have thought about having a shop cut out the Y and redo it properly, but my money is tied up in other projects right now. slvrlegacygt
i have the Bosal V1.5 and didn't check the y when i installed it, does anyone have any pics or insight on wheter or not it is designed the same way.
keithk831
So...does anyone know what replacement gaskets I would need for the SPT v2 catback for the y-pipe to muffler connection? I had to modify the stock gaskets to fit, and partially broke one in the process (so now I have a slight leak).

keithk831
I dug the old gaskets out of the trash (they came with the SPT catback, but they're damaged). They measure at 2 1/8" ID. Think I should just go with a 2 1/4" ID gasket?
