zag300zx
Hey Guys, I am going to manufacture some tail light overlays similar to the ones below, with the oval cutouts. I really like the design, however I have heard nothing but bad things about ordering them from Jinsu-Power. I have the capability to make these so I figure I will give it a try. Any suggestions to change with the design? Would anybody be interested getting these from a reliable source? I could do any tint %. I could use some closeup pictures of these installed. Thanks. http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g63/zag300zx/119.jpg
Gmoe
Cool. I don't think these can be found anywhere else any longer.

zag300zx
Cant say about cost yet, but it would be much cheaper than the 62.50 going rate. I will work on designing them this week. Anybody have some high quality pictures of these? And can they tell me what diameter the circles are? If everything works out I might end up playing with different designs. scoobydoobie
Each hole is 1/2 inch in diameter. I have a few shots of them, hope they help, but no high quality close ups. May be able to take some later today. http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/5417/d01yy2.jpg http://img103.imageshack.us/img103/5058/tint09tk8.jpg http://img23.imageshack.us/img23/2475/snow08uw5.jpg http://img18.imageshack.us/img18/699/blue02.jpg
Adriftoc
sick. If you can manufacture them cheaper...I would be down for getting them. These overlays would look awesome on my atlantic blue!
zag300zx
Thanks guys, Those pics help out a lot. I can replicate that pretty easy. So is the material they are using that thick soft silicone material or does it closer resemble window tint?
RedDawg
yes! i have been searching/waiting for someone to begin remaking these, was almost going to have to resort to tinting the whole lens and razoring out the cutout myself. I will definetly be purchasing a pair.

snow05gtRI
wow this is exactly what I am looking for. light tint with the reverse cutout, and those circles are just a plus. not looking to black out the tails, just a little darker, but still able to have good use of the reverse lights. zag300zx
Yeah I have the pattern all ready, made a test piece out of standard window tint. I am just waiting to get some of the thick soft material in. I expect to have some ready by the end of next week. Anybody have a good vendor to get the sheets of film? I'm pretty sure I ordered the right stuff, but you never really know until it comes in.

zag300zx
So I ordered an entire roll of Smoked Lamin-X. It should be enough to do 8 cars. While I wait for the material, I had the idea of possibly adding a fourth row to the bottom half of the light. What do you guys think? 3 or 4 rows on the bottom? http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g63/zag300zx/1194row.jpg http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g63/zag300zx/119.jpg

snow05gtRI
i like 4 if it's not being really squeezed in. the top/bottom would look good being different sizes. do these have any effect on what the tail lights and brake lights look like when they are operating at night?
