hal9e3
Bought and installed one of these, then realized it didn't leave much clearance to jack the car up using the front corner tow hooks, and completely covered the front frame rail I normally use to jack up the front of the car. This last issue wouldn't apply unless you own a jack like mine, an AC DK13HLQ that is long enough to get to the rail. However, I bought that jack so I could rasie the car from there, plus the almost 30" max height, so something needed to be done. I took the skid plate to a local machine shop and had it modified. Here's a picture of the whole skid plate after mods: http://farm1.static.flickr.com/168/476828952_d7d9cc87bc.jpg Here's a picture of the modified front corners. I had them cut 1" more out of the tow hook area and round the all the sharp corners off to prevent any emergency room visits: http://farm1.static.flickr.com/172/476828960_fe07679c54.jpg Finally, here's a picture of the cutout to expose the front frame rail for jacking. I had them cut out a 7" wide by 4" deep area and round the corners: http://farm1.static.flickr.com/220/476828956_d0d43ac527.jpg The results were great! The rear cutout even helps me line up the jack on the frame rail. If you have one of these I highly recommend at least the front corner mods. I may be the only person around that has this plate and this jack, but if anyone else does the rear mod works great as well.

hal9e3
What happened when you tried to go to the link? Actually, I wanted to put them inline. I did the [/img] like it says in the HTML FAQ but I still got links. Just edited them to URLs - give it another try. I'll leave them like this until I figure out how to make them come up inline. hal9e3
TRS, saw your post over in my how to? thread. I edited the OP and it still doesn't put the pic inline. Is it possible this forum doesn't allow that? I thought I remembered seeing posts here that did it but I don't remember where they were.

To get your full size image into your post: In your Flickr photo album click on the particular image you want and it will display full size. Now right click on that full size image and either select Copy Image Location or just type o (same thing just a shortcut). Where you want to insert that image in your post click the http://legacygt.com/forums/images/editor/insertimage.gif icon, right click and either select Paste or just type p (same think just a shortcut). Before entering, delete any characters past the .jpg extension.
hal9e3
Do you mean click on the link in your post? I can't find the icon you mentioned either when I try to edit my original post or create a new one.

The extra characters after .jpg tripped me up for a while. My embedded images showed up fine as I was composing, but would display as just links after I posted 'til I sorted out what was going on.
