installed racerx charge pipe, and hardrace motor mount... both were fun.. the hardrace was hard to get in, I had to grind the v arm because the motor mount had some leftover casting that wouldn't let the arm over it..

 

the charge pipe was easy, i just cut it in half and had it removed within an hour. Getting it in and sitting properly was another story.. so many joints.. you need to make sure all your clamp screws are in the right direction or the fan won't fit back in. also the hose the connects to the bpv sucks..lol you have to find the absolute best angle or else the hose quinks, the place where the hose passes through/under the power steering lines is tight and again if you don't find the right path the hose quinks. this charge pipe would be 1000 times easier to install if you have aftermarket intake because it frees up all that space.

Consider skipping the TGV deletes, do they list the latencies and knee for those injectors that can be plugged into ATR or the like?

If not, t00ning injector scalar value and latencies (on our cars the table has a MAP dependency) will be a PITA.

My tuner said he prefers injector dynamics because it's what he uses, he probably has all the tables and charts.

 

 

Also why skip the TGV deletes?.... I'm going in to change the injectors/rails/lines.. might as well slap them in while I'm there, the consensus seems to be if you can handle the rough cold idle its worth the +hp.

Rough cold start and idle stability are one concern - the other would be fully accounting for the TGVs being gone in the tune. I'm not sure all the tables in the LGT ROMs are defined to do that, but I guess there must be at least some members on here who can confirm or know how the 5th gen LGTs behave with TGV deletes. Any EGR on there?

To be honest, I usually do all the research (see over research) myself, but this time around with the after school activities, soccer, ballet, chess....

 

 

 

with great power comes great responsibility.... basically at this point I call my tuner(Lachute performance) and ask... can I.. and they typically say "yes no problem we'll figure it out"

 

 

this is actually further than I've ever been with a build, I know that certain items may be overkill but I guess I'm preparing for the next stage...which I assume is a take the engine out situation.

Im running 1050 cc injector dynamic with no tgv.At iddle when cold its a little louder but i got no running issue.Also got tuned at lachute.
I dont speak English to good but I French alot.

I'm going to start looking into customizing the racer x charge pipe... I need to look for some silicone hose.. there are way too many joints on the charge pipe and the hoses get smashed between the ps lines and the air box. So, I think I'll be upgrading my turbo, from what I read, the best option is a td05h-18g in the vf54 housing... my question is, Do I just ask the company upgrading my turbo for that?.. eg I would like to upgrade to a TDO5H-18G and he'll know what I' talking about?

 

 

 

The first place I spoke with quickly said machine the turbo and fit a 20g ... to which I replied I think most guys running this setup go with a 18g and the guy answered, Yah sure I guess we could do that.

Curious as to which shop you have been talking too about bigger turbo?

 

I am sitting on the fence dreaming about 18G turbo, non waste gate headers etc etc .... not sure if I will make the leap.... Thanks
