rodan
Got some new shoes: Rota Formula Mesh (BBS RE copies) 18x8 w/ 225/40-18 Kumho SPT - I'll be going up to 235 or 245 with the next set. The extra 1/2" of width really seems to "untuck" the wheels and give it a broader appearing stance. Also the silver wheels appear visually larger than the hyperblack Rota Tarmac IIs I had on the car previously. I miss the hyperblack color (it was very cool in the sun), but these look less "tuner", and go better with my 'sleeper' agenda, while still hinting at some aggression. http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y185/RodanAZ/Legacy/Formulafrontweb.jpg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y185/RodanAZ/Legacy/Formulasideweb.jpg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y185/RodanAZ/Legacy/Formularearweb.jpg

TPLGT
I think I just found me some rims! yeah..those are the balls. The BBS REs that come on the S402 are about 5x the amount...great value. Rehab is for quitters.
rodan
Wow... back from the dead... Suspension is iON springs on Tokico struts, also Cobb sways. I have since put 235s on, and it really gives the car a good stance and fills out the wheel wells. The wheels are silver. I find it pretty hard to justify the cost of BBS on a car like this and these have been a great alternative. Here's a few more recent pics: http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y185/RodanAZ/Legacy/11-23-08-1.jpg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y185/RodanAZ/Legacy/11-23-08-6.jpg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y185/RodanAZ/Legacy/11-23-08-5.jpg
TPLGT
Very nice! My car will look identical to that...except I have a factory spoiler. I know IONs provide a nice drop...so you have no rubbing issues? I am thinking I may get the steel gray but love the silver. Great look! Rehab is for quitters. AirSix
Rodan, pics on Highway 89? I tell myself that an N/A Forester is just an STI without all the fluff like, power, handling, style, racing heritage, and curb appeal.

Prowler504
I have a set of these wheels in steel gray that I am going to put on in the spring, so do you recommend 235/40/18 tires over 225/40/18?
rodan
Thanks guys. No rubbing issues, and I do recommend the 235s. They look better on the rim, and fill up the wells. Yes, SR89 South of Prescott. Known locally as "White Spars". Nice twisty road... The center caps are the Rota caps. There's a vinyl guy that does overlays for Subaru stuff, and I got some for the center caps that have the STI logo.

Denver133
These are "Hyper Silver" on my DGM to help you decide. I am running the stock rubber till I get my 235s. http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j50/denver133/DSCN0073.jpg
StoplightAssassin
I love the look of these wheels. I found some gold spray paint that really matches the Rota gold color very well. I sprayed one of the wheels yesterday since it was a bit warmer and I am getting anxious to get them on my car.
