Soda Popinski
So I take it that this can't be adjusted in any way?
Max Capacity
I wonder if you could some how shorten the left side of the latch or raise it up with a washer between it the frame that it bolts to. My 09 Spec does it too. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it. Wang Lung
Grab a large pair of vice grips. Latch on to the U shaped fitting the door locks onto, and bend it to bring the door farther in. I can't remember which way to bend it as it was years ago I did this. Be careful, it requires very little adjustment to fix this. And you'll probably want to put a little black touch-up paint on that fitting.
stclark13
^^^bend it down, like he said takes very little adjustment. if you bend it too far the glovebox won't close. worked like a charm.
Soda Popinski
can someone snap a pic of what to bend?
underpowerd
i think you can even do it with your fingers, it's pretty soft metal; no pic, but you can see on the open door where the latch is. match up where that would land upon closing, and there's your hook to bend.
