Rota SVN 18x8.5 on DGM

Due to a recent flat tire, I went ahead and upgraded wheels/tires instead of just buying 2 tires. I somehow found a way to justify this. :)

Went with the hyperblack ROTA SVN 18 x 8.5 with Khumo ASX 235/40/18. Not too many pics of the LGT with the SVN's so I thought I would share for those on the fence.

It amazes me how small an 18in wheel looks depending on how the spoke, finish are designed. Here's a crappy pic of mine.

That looks nice, have other angle shots? The darker rims seem to always look smaller than a light color or silver rim. I wish Rota would make those in a 19", looks wise it would be perfect, but probably heavy and no so performance oriented.

Need better digi/cam. Here is what i have.

Tires are 235/40R18 RE01R's.

Do you have any suspension work at all?

I have cobb springs on stock struts, and I'm concerned about clearance if I go with same tire specs as above on SVNs. Will it rub? Is fender rolling needed? Should I get 235/35/18 (rare size acc to xenonk)??? thanks in advance

no, you wont have any rubbing issues. i have the svns on h.techs. i think the cobb springs have a lower drop than the h.techs in the front, but you'll still be left with plenty of room.

and yes, 235/35/18 is very hard to find.

click here for pics. pics with the SVNs are in post #21 of that thread.

i'm running 235/40/18. but for some reason, the tire doesn't wrap around the rim as much as i would like. 245/40/18 would probably be the best fit in my opinion. that size isn't too hard too find.
