Dr.Chu
Well, I would highly NOT recommend fellow Legacy owners to tackle this project, it took me and DiscoWagon an eternity to get these things into my car . Those seats has been in my apartment for almost 6 months before I got the balls to install them with Sparco brackets. It took us approximately 6 hours to get it installed. I don't think I am ever going to take them out again . Hope you like them http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i122/chu861215/009-4.jpg http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i122/chu861215/008-4.jpg South Coast Subaru l Firestone of Rowland Heights l Yimi Sport l Koyorad
Ryandigi
real slick, did not realize how bad the seats were until my first autox and ever since have wated an upgrade. Any pics or explanations of why the instal was so horrible?
darkside
Wow that is beautiful, did u retain seat warmers and how did u trick the side airbags. I once saw some one hack up lgt seats and put guts into a set of sti blue/black alcantra seats. Good work
Dr.Chu
real slick, did not realize how bad the seats were until my first autox and ever since have wated an upgrade. Any pics or explanations of why the instal was so horrible? First of all, its hard to get brackets/sliders for it, since Recaro aftermarket brackets and sliders only work with aftermarket Recaros. I had to use a Sparco which the holes didn't really line up well, did a lot of drilling, dremeling, filing, and a lot of cussing to get the holes line up. If you want an upgrade, I would highly recommend you getting a real aftermarket seats instead of these stock Recaros that aren't really made for Subarus. Hope this help South Coast Subaru l Firestone of Rowland Heights l Yimi Sport l Koyorad

To trick the side airbags, all you have to do is getting some ohm resistors to trick them. RochNY91TSI
Great work, I really like the look; if I didn't know what the stock seats looked like, I would think that those are stock! I've been thinking about some racing seats recently, but I don't want to lose the comfort of the stockers. If this didn't sound like such a pita, I'd go this route

BAC5.2
Ugh, pics are blocked at work. I've wanted to see if I can find a set of Audi RS4 front seats. They grip really well, and I bet the side airbags would be usable. Plus, they'd match the rest of the interior fairly well. That's why out of all the aftermarket Recaro seats I can choose, I chose the SSL one, because technically, they are stock, and stock looking. It matches our leather interior quite well. I'm pretty sure my parents won't notice it, or so I hope... South Coast Subaru l Firestone of Rowland Heights l Yimi Sport l Koyorad
BAC5.2
Those look great. Almost like they belong there! I wish there was an OEM option for tan leather versions of those seats. I'd be really interested (so long as side-airbags could be retained). I have a problem disabling a safety system. Disabling side airbags could be grounds for an insurance company to deny coverage for personal injury in the event of an accident. I'm not willing to give that up, even if it means not getting comfortable and grippy seats. Dr.Chu
I have completely no idea, I just know that they weigh a lot lesser than our stock seats, thats for sure. South Coast Subaru l Firestone of Rowland Heights l Yimi Sport l Koyorad

Drew888
Insurance won't have a clue until long after they have paid for your medical bills and that's only if they try to "go after you" to recoup their losses. That only happens if you are the cause of the accident. If you are the victim...you will never hear from them. Those look great. Almost like they belong there!
