subymike77
I have a 2005 Legacy gt 5mt in red garnet pearl. I'm currently installing a decent system in mine and would like to see what everyone else has done. My pics should be up in the next few days. SneakyFast
I had my system installed by a member (16psiBrick) a few years back. Came out beautifully. Here's a few pics. Pretty simple deck with blue tooth put in with the single din adapter. http://simplicity.elitecaraudio.org/ryanlgt3.JPG Wired a 3 mm jack and USB to the center console. http://simplicity.elitecaraudio.org/ryanlgt5.JPG Stealth box installed in the trunk http://simplicity.elitecaraudio.org/ryanlgt8.JPG With the cover removed displaying teh goodies. Two Elemental Designs nine.2 amps, bracketing a single Image Dynamics ID12 http://simplicity.elitecaraudio.org/ryanlgt11.JPG Went with DLS ultimate UX26's in the stock location in the front doors which were sound dampened. Pics are pretty unexciting. Overall it's a great sounding system on a budget. Welcome to the forum BTW!

subymike77
That looks great! Thanks for the post. I just got done carpeting my enclosure and amp rack. It's really sounding good. I have to do the rear speakers and finish the kit in the dash and I'll be done. I should have some pics up tomorrow.

subymike77
Very very clean, Biz. What woofer set up are you using? I love your amp rack, super clean and great detail work. Oh, yeah. I hate you for your head unit install. Looks great.

biz77
Subwoofer is a Polk Audio SR124. The system is undergoing a complete overhaul right now. Here's a couple of shots in process: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v375/biz77/photo.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v375/biz77/photo2.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v375/biz77/photo1.jpg
subymike77
Evak, thats sweet. I love the black/white tweed. Man, you can fit 10lbs of sh*t in a 5 pound hole, can't you!? Biz, I like your direction. This is almost making me feel bad for wanting to post mine. Mine pales in comparison. I will have them up this weekend, I promise. biz77
A very nice 12" sub in a 1.25 cu. ft. enclosure, 1,600 watts, all power distribution and crossovers into the spare tire well without raising the height of the floor. Once the cover is put on, no one will ever know anything is even there. Losing the dinky spare is well worth it IMO. I have roadside coverage through my insurance and if I trek far out of town, I can still throw the spare in on top of the floor.
OutbackXT05
Well heres 2 pics of the box and woofer. Got everything in today so just waiting on my amp and then here comes the bass Its plain and simple and gets the job done. I Was thinking about gettting a 12 polk SR i hear they sound awsome, but i needed more outpus so i went with the LMS-R. The surround on this woofer is friggin huge i must say. It hardly clears the grill that i have for it.
biz77
How deep is that? Looks like it's easily removable. Yank the box, flip the seats and haul some stuff. I'm jealous of that. My back seats don't even flip forward.
OutbackXT05
The box is 12" deep on the bottom and 8.5" on the top. Takes up no trunk space almost and ya its out of the car when i want in 30 seconds. Which is what i was going for.
subymike77
Looks really good, XT05. What amp are you going with? I'm really curious how it's going to sound. I've had single 12's ported in a wagon before and they slammed!

subymike77
Bad news. My alpine cda has given up the ghost. The faceplate has quit moving. I just ordered a new alpine unit and it won't arrive until next week, so my pics will be delayed.
