Please help identify what this connector is -

Recommended Posts

I was just cleaning out my 2007 Legacy (2.5i) and I moved the passenger floor mat out of the car to vacuum the rug. I found this connector sticking out from underneath the carpeting in the back "left" corner undernearth the glove compartment (underneath the center console area).

I do not know what this connector (clip) is nor why it would be unclippped. Can any of you experts out there help me to identify what this connector is doing and if I should continue to keep it unclipped?

I've attached a few pictures I took with my phone under there.

Thanks in advance btw.

they are test connectors, you connect them when you want to flash the ECU map.

Correct. When you need to reflash your ECU using your AccessPort, you need to connect these. Otherwise Tucky tucky under the carpet. :p

Maybe you missed the fact that its an N/A. either way, any ecu map access requires these to be connected

Now you may be confusing the OP. These do not get connected if not reflashing the ECU. Tuck them back under the carpet disconnected and leave them be.
