I got the ones with the reverse cutouts to keep the cops off my back. I figure they wont really realize that the tails didnt come that way if they see the white. Kinda similar to the way the old chevy beretta tails were dark like that (I'm only making that reference b/c my friend had a beretta 10 years ago & it was the 1st car I could think of with tails like that).
