Hi - I can't figure out what I've got, and want to know, for parts/shop manual purposes.

It's a '95 Legacy I guess; that's what the owner's manual says on the cover. It's also an outback i guess; are there legacys that aren't outbacks? Are there different types of wagons?

I'd appreciate it if someone would explain these terms. Thanks!

wow newb lol. thats when the ob first came out so its not much dif than a normal legacy wgn, i think it even has the 2.2 ( you can tell by looking @ the muffler, it will be oval not round like the 2.5). their are 2 types of outback, the impreza or "outback sport" and the larger legacy outback that also came in a sedan version called the SUS or sport utility sedan. the difference beteen an "outback" and the regular subaru is a slight lift in suspesion and stronger body panels. any other Q's?

I had a '95 Legacy Outback a long time ago. Loved that car.

I thought that back then, the "Outback" was just a trim level. Hence you could have an Impreza Outback, or a Legacy Outback.

the forester is barely an suv/minivan. Outbacks are tough wagons. Nothing wrong with that.

Hi - Thanks for the help. So is it medium safe to say that if I give the correct engine size (I haven't had a chance to look at that/figure it out yet) then I'll get the right parts if I say '95 legacy outback?
