opened up the hood scoop, now what to do with it?

Actually the Scoop does do something, along with the insert that is in there. If you look at the insert there is a little directional thing that provides air flow to cool the Brake Master Cylinder

 

So, I guess without the insert, it will allow it to be cooled more.

How can I do this. I'd love to do one.

As you can see the air intake is down and to the left of the engine so its away from water, leaves, etc that enter. The hoodscoop is in the middle. With it open the water comes and hits the resonator box in the middle. No harm there.

I meant ducting the hood scoop to the intake as to "ram" air into the intake :rolleyes: Which, in fact, water would then get in your intake.

 

Your little cone filter does no "ramming" of air into your intake :rolleyes::lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:
