Official 08 Spec B thread

Since I keep trying to find info on them I just thought it would be easier to start a thread that if anyone has any sort of info to put it all in one spot.

 

All I know is that they have black alacantara interior, and supposedly available in either diamond grey or quartz silver.

 

Anyone else have some info/pics they can contribute???

is it me or did i just see like a huge yellow piece of the front suspension in that side pic?

Those are the Bilstein struts.

 

The USDM/CDM spec.B's are higher than they should be. Kinda sucks.

yea i noticed..... these things are lifted almost as much as a compact truck.... just too bad they don't offer specb in white........... cause rite now that is a on the fence thing with me.

Just because stuff is built at the same plant in Indiana doesnt mean that we get the same things that Canada does (wagons, wagons with manuals, etc.)

Good point. We are just gonna have to wait and see. Honestly with a few small touches, all the little annoyances on the new legacy can be fixed

Anyone know about any new options/features like if they have HID's or anything like that? Is it rated at the same hp/torque?

 

I'd have to see one in person before I weigh in on the grille, but not a fan of the rear reflectors or the wheels. The wheels are definately euro looking. Look almost exactly like 04< A8 19" wheels. That's one problem that is hopefully easy to fix by the TireRack or similiar place.

So what makes this one special?

 

Given that the interior shot wasnt all that great, it didnt seem much different than that of LGT.

Not too keen on those wheels either, the '06/'07 Spec B wheels were much nicer.

basically same differences between the 07 LGT and 07 spec B. you can see the 6 speed shifter in the interior shot, plus the new 08 spec B have black covered alcantara inserts in the seats and doors comparedd to the blue ones from the 07 models and the all red leather interior of the 06 models.

 

Power is rated the same on the spec sheets as the LGTs, despite wether they actually have more power or not, its rated the same on paper for the 08s like they were for the 07s and 06s.

Did the '07 Spec B have memory power seats? It looks like this one does...

black out the fogs, or body match. and lose that rear bumper cover!!!!!!!! those reflectors are friggen hiddeous!! it does however look like the JDM grill is gonna be a direct swap though. the grill is a none issue either way.

Is quartz silver the same silver that was on the 06 Spec B?

 

Has the 08 been officially released and now in dealers?

07's do have memory seats. the only real diffrence is seats,inserts, front rear end and some minor other cosmetic things. not to much of a WOW factor for me.

By the pics shown I'd say quartz silver metallic is NOT the same as the 06 sepc B. (06 spec b was lighter than what is in the pics IIRC)

The pics look like Diamond Gray Metallic.

 

Quartz Silver (08 new color) and Titanium silver (06 Spec B) are similar, but not the same. I think titanium has a tinge of yellow to it to make it look warmer than most silvers, but just slightly.

 

New wheels and bumpers, no thanks. Big grille opening can be had other, albeit more expensive ways.

 

not that impressive, especially for the sticker price. I think I am going to stick with my 05 GRP. Better color anyway.

www.edumnds.com now shows the 08 Legacy (no pics or videos yet). It even lets you price out all the Legacy's including the spec B.

Aren't they getting rid of the aluminum hoods on '08s????
