OBXT Road trip and other photos

This was my first road trip since I got the OBXT ltd in the beginning of April. I took my girlfriend up to the mountains for her birthday and we had a great time. Ran into some other OBXT's up there, and those were the first other's I have seen up close on the road. It was pretty cool that they were Facotry Team Cars at that. I also attached some other pics from the weekend, Snow good in some areas, not so good in others.

Enjoy...

oh yeah, I also did the AccessPort before I left, and the car pulled up the Colorado Mountain Hills with NO EFFORT at all. I could pull on people in 5th gear and still accelerate at 80MPH. With a slight down shift to 4th at highway speeds, the car FLEW!!!!

At least Jon knows that's not what I meant.

I so know what you meant, and yes, I took about 120 landscape shots. When the lights come in from the group buy, and we install them, I will show you my first book that was just made in December.

outback wagons look better than legacy wagons, clean or dirty.

I kinda agree with you, the pointy front and long back of the LGT wagon does not do it for me, I like the thicker bulkier front of the OB. I perfer the performance of the legacy, handling wise, but the power is the same....so I went with utility as I came from an allroad and love being able to clear the rocks on the trails so I can get more photo shots!!!! Gotta love the back country.

Jon - Got details about the book? I'll buy it. BTW-I put out a small run of calendars a few years back from a trip to the lakes region of Patagonia, thus my handle.

The book was made by my best friend. I always send him a slew of my pictures I take from each venture. He compiled them into the program from http://www.mypublisher.com and had the book made up from there. I can make new ones any time i want, so no real publisher or anything like that. The run me about $70 each for production, so I don't make many up. I gave a lot to them to my friends who seem to enjoy them. Having my buddy make this book up for me was the COOLEST holiday gift I have ever gotten, what a surprise. So, if you are interested, I can get a new one made up, but they are pretty expensive, and for most people, not sure it is worth it.

cheers

Ahh.....gotcha. Yeah, a bit steep, but a cool option. I have my own in house publisher - my fiance runs the prepress department at a small, commercial magazine printer. She does all the design/layout and we go in on the weekends and use the equipment (well, everything except the big $10M Heidelberg presses :D ).

man, that would be awesome. I think every couple of years, I will have my buddy do the layout and stuff like that for a new book. They made decent holiday gifts for friends and family. I bet having a fiance with those skills is awesome, especially for making up calendars and books. I am so jealous :) My girlfriend just climbs trees for a living, hehe. She is a horticulturist, and has NO artistic skills what so ever. It cracks me up.

is that a cave?

Nope, not a cave, it is a stream pass through under a service road. The conduit is about 10' across, and there is about 6' of snow in front of it. Just looked cool. That was the trail head to where we were snow shoeing that day, and the stream we followed goes through that area.
