no spark

i own a 1992 legacy turbo wagon and since we unloaded it from the flat bed it wont start. replaced the coil ign module plugs and wires. could this be a ground issue or timing.

Did it start before? When was the last time it started? Does the starter turn over? Is it getting fuel (bad fuel pump)? Did you take off the timing covers and check if the timing is correct? Did you check the battery and negative ground?

 

The fuel pump has a ground, check that too. Post a pic of your touring wagon.

it ran putting it on the flat bed i'm getting 40 psi at the filter it cranks but no spark. and havent checked the timing belt yet

That's strange. I'm at a loss.

 

Just to clarify, did you replace the coil pack that the spark plugs plug into, or the ignition module? People call them different things.

Nice t leggy. I'm sure it is something simple to get it running. I just don't know what to tell you. Were you able to check the timing yet? My wagon died today but it was just a loose neg connect on the battery.

i did notice the crank pully was wobbling as we cranked it. could that throw the crank sensor off?

I don't know, but that sure doesn't sound good. Did you try tightening it? It should be tightened about 140 ft lbs or more.

 

Is it an auto or manual?

its a auto but its not loose at the bolt its at the rubber bushing in the middle

Really? If so you better replace the crank pulley. If your crank sprocket is off your timing will also be off and it won't start. Have you checked it yet?

Well if you're not good at replacing parts yourself

you need to hook them up with a new crank pulley,

woodruff key and that gear that goes behind the

crank pulley. I always called it a timing gear. Either

way, if they dont replace that crap when they do

the timing the crank pulley's just gonna wobble again.

Your stock up pipe is catless and is great. If you want a bigger turbo, you will definitely need a top mount intercooler. A TD04 with a wrx tmic will give you around 30hp and not give your ecu any problems.

There is a cat on your down pipe. Only heat shields on the up pipe.

can i peel the heat sheild off?

and is there a newer down pipe that will bolt up
