Carried over from the Food and Drink section, this is for eats in the New England area.

Has anyone had a really good or bad experience at a restaurant? I'll throw one out there.

Ted's Montana Grill in South Windsor, CT.

Very fresh food, their bison burgers are the best. Not an expensive place to eat either. Not usually a fan of chain restaurants, but this one sticks out.

http://www.tedsmontanagrill.com/ Looks like only 2 locations in the NE area.

For an incredible decent bite to eat if ever in downtown Ipswich, MA ->

Zabaglione Cafe

The food is excellent Italian (not american Italian). The deserts albeit pricey are decadent.

I'll throw a favorite from me and my friends:

Coffee Hop in [ame=http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=13155596043011958539,42.146504,-71.867222&q=Main+St%2FRT-12+%4042.146504,+-71.867222&ie=UTF8&ll=42.146502,-71.867226&spn=0.004471,0.0081&t=h&z=17&iwloc=addr]Oxford MA[/ame]. The food is good (not spectacular, but definitely not bad) and the prices can't be beat. The most bona-fide greasy hamburger I've found around, friendly service. Come in for a Banana Barge ice cream and you'll have the entire place counting to see if you finish it.

I love their breakfasts, and this is when they are most busy.

Between 2004 (opening) and 2006 their hours were spotty and changed very often, but I think they have stabilized now. (That was the biggest problem that prevented us going there -- for a short while, they were even closing at 2pm).

Best korean BBQ ever. very authentic just order galbi (marinated beef) and you're all set.

Super fusion in washington sq

http://www.chow.com/places/478

great sushi maki rolls, only got like 3 tables and 4 bar seats. best sushi after oishi near natick/chestnut hill

Kaze in Chinatown Boston

http://boston.citysearch.com/profile/41818759/boston_ma/kaze.html

Fresh good meat, the tomato beef soup broth is the best.

Ken's Ramen house - 88 Supermarket in Allston

http://www.yelp.com/biz/kens-ramen-house-allston

great ramen, if you go have to get XL size and extra pork or else you won't get full, i personally love the sapporo soup base, apparently from what i've heard from my friends the salt soup base isn't good. (closed on weds)

Wild Willy's burgers in Watertown.

http://www.willyburger.com/

Love the burgers here. all made to order.

Union Oyster House - near govt center

http://www.unionoysterhouse.com/

Best fresh raw oysters/clams, they have 3 different types of oysters everyday. You have to sit at the oyster bar, since they open up oysters right in front of you. if you sit at the booths/tables the oysters are pre-opened. The clam chowder is great as well. I usually have 1.5-2 dozens of oysters and half dozen cherry stone clams

That's all I can think of now. i'll keep updating

Ted's Montana Grill opened recently in Cranston, RI on new plaza next to Garden City. Bison burgers are the best, and they also have fresh Guinness and Sam Adams on tap. the bartender lady recognizes us already  and puts Guinness out right away ;)

Love the cooked japanese food here, amazing uni tempura and the cooked foie gras (goose liver) with some kind of berry. The flame cooked maki rolls are great too. Very expensive place. at least $60 -80 a person

GREAT pizzeria in Providence, RI - Fellini Pizzeria at Wickenden St just off 195, exit 2. Thin crust pizza, not your typical two-inch thick pizza. lots of different varieties too, and they have soups, salads, some pastry. The best part for you late-night people is that they are open *very* late, I think until about 2AM. One word of advise - place is PACKED Friday nights and they're swamped with orders, so if you're there Friday night, it may take a little longer to get your pizza.

Highly recommended. fellinipizzeria.com

You may also order pizza at Fellini and take it with you to Wickenden pub up the street for some great beer to be had with your fine pizza :) uhmmmm....

I went to On The Border MExican Grille in Warwick, RI. Worst restaurant I've even been too. Our food took 50 minutes to come and everything was ice cold. We told the waitress and the manager came over and apologized, then said "your bill is all set". Then we get a bill for our drinks and 2 meals. The manager refuses to take the drinks off and 1/2 of the meals. WTF? Why did you say "all set" then?

enough zip ties and duct tape will fix anything.

O'Rourke's Diner in Middletown, CT.

Burned a year or so ago, but just recently re-opened. The best breakfast and lunch you'll ever eat. Vintage diner car setting, great service. It's run by Brian, a hell of a nice guy.

It's been closed for so long, everyone has anticipated the reopening so there is always a line out the door on the weekends, so get there early or go for late lunch.

The place is odd. My wife went there with coworkers for lunch and they had to ask waiter twice to take items they haven't ordered off the bill  Then we were there with the family and it also took the waitress about 30 minutes to bring food - but at least it was not cold. The manager does not seem to care as when she was passing by and asked "Is everything well here ?" she didn't even bother slowing down for half a second to hear the reply. I could just as well say "Да все ништяк" with the same result. The food is good when you get it hot though and meal size is enormous.

So if you lucky and get your service done right, you'll like it. We just ended ordering take outs lately.

An advise - don't even try to go there on weekend nights and Friday night unless you ready to wait hour+ in line.

Leventi's Restaurant in Columbia, CT.

Had dinner with some friends there for the first time. They are known for their prime rib, so thats what I ordered. Cajun seasoned. Wow, the best prime rib I have ever had by far.

Main course was great, however what they serve as sides just seem very generic and out of the box. The salad bar wasn't the best either. However, great service, and very fast. Prices are great, not expensive at all. Although I think that is the only restaurant that still charges for fountain soda every refill. I thought that went away in the 90's. I'd go again though. B-
