My own DIY grill

So I figuere to try this first and see how I like it before painting the entire grill black. I used a OEM 05 STI mesh grill zip tied down. Please show your love or hate fellas.

 

PS: Is my first time playing with bondo.

Looks fine. I did my own grill too. Its not an item I can see paying hundreds of dollars for from some shop. Save your money for something else.

BTW I feel the same about $400 lip spoilers . Do the $20 dollar garage door seal lip.

The pics on the car are have poor lighting but from what I can see I am gnna do this myself as well. Im gnna need some help lol I wonder where I can get some of that mesh cuz I dont have an STI and How long did it take you to pull that off?

I did it from 10am-2pm was done. I obviously did not give it time to dry properly but my personal time is very limited so I had to do a quick job. On the sides is still no perfect edges but it did cover the gaps.

 

It was taken with my phone so pics sucked

^ ahh, didn't realize that the sti emblem was attached. sorry :redface:

Well you can take it off but is really hard. Then yoy might have to glue to the new grill. Best is to purchase the grill from subaru then buy the emblem online, the little locks that holds the emblem on to the grill is a one time use only I think.
