My E85 Raptor SC 2.5i build

Recommended Posts

First off, this is not complete but I have a few photos to share as I go.

Build list:

-2008 2.5i 4EAT 39k miles(yes I know it will eventually fail)

-10psi Raptor supercharger kit

-water-to-air intercooler & radiator from frozenboost.com

-Deatschwerks compact fuel pump

-Deatschwerks 750cc injectors

-Rallitek spark plug wires and transmission mount insert

-Hayden 676 trans cooler

-Prosport boost & trans temp gauge w/ JSC cubby

-E85 tune from Keith @ AWDTuning in Dallas

-Rallisportracing UEL headers, Magnaflow mufflers, Vibrant resonator

I have most everything done, I need to mount the radiator and water pump, wire my gauge, and get my base map written to the ECU. Also getting the second cat removed and pipe replaced with 2.5".

I'll post pics in the next post, I am doing this from my phone so it's a little slow.

Hey nice build sheet! The 4EAT is the only "meh" point as it wont handle the power in the best manner and by that I mean it wont transmit power optimally to the wheels it is a fairly stout gearbox, so it should last a long time as long as it cooled well :)

Got busy at work.. Here goes.

Bumper off

Intercooler radiator. I got a bigger one than I need, so it can be seen behind the bumper /rice

Had to relocate this sensor behind the bracket to clear the radiator.

Hayden 676 trans cooler

This is the intercooler. It sits where that plastic box was connected to the throttle body. Water is pumped through it.

Not much to see here, but Deatschwerks pump and injectors. Went to their shop to get them. Nice place.

Here is the Raptor kit.

Most of the big stuff installed.

That's all for now. I will have more this evening.

Thanks. Who knows, maybe a 5spd swap is in my future.

I've got the trans cooler and gauge so I can monitor the temps. Should be ok got a while.

Tim @ Raptor has been extremely patient with me and helpful. He sent me a dyno chart that showed 205ish horsepower, and I believe that was the 6psi kit on regular gas. I'll have 10psi and E85. Should be fun :)

I got a good deal on the car, I wasn't planning on doing any engine work at the time..

Now I have money in the stereo & sound deadening and wheels/brakes etc.. So I really don't want to get rid of it.. And yeah.. Its a fun & different project that should get good results.

you guys will probably laugh at these videos, but I just couldn't wait for my base tune to get finished before I started it. Guess the stock tune doesnt like big injectors too much.. hah No CEL tho
