Moved thread notification..

Pretty much every other forum I'm on, when a thread gets moved to another more appropriate forum. The thread "remains" in the origionally posted forum with a "MOVED" next to it. This would be handy to have since it sucks to post in a thread and come back later to see replies and have to search the forums to find where it's been moved to.

It's policy on this board not to use a Moved Thread notification, it just clutters the place up even more. If you can't find a thread you started or one that you've posted in then go to your list of all posts and track it down from there. Hope this helps. Dave.

The reason why we move threads is to try to keep the forums as uncluttered as possible and as well organized as possible, with the threads that are relevant to the forum in which they live as accessible as possible. Leaving thread movement notifications kind of defeats the purpose of both of those goals. That said, I know it can be a pain to find your own threads, but there's multiple ways to do that. You can either look for your own recent posts to find the thread, or, IMO the easiest way, is to just always do the 'new posts' option, and you can look for it in there, as well as anything else that piques your interest.
