Looking good Jae I bet you are excited to be getting the gear on. That turbo looks sexy. Let me know if you want to spend an hour so on a weekend after you get this installed to go through vacuum hoses with zip ties. I think I got all the connections down after helping Ted with his mani/turbo install.

Hey guys thanks! I can't wait till I get this installed...decided to upgrade the TMIC and BOV and just get it over worth instead of using the stock STI stuff, at this point a couple more bucks doesn't matter...

Nick - I'll give you a ring and take you up on the offer of zip tying all the hoses.

If I was going to keep the VF39 it would be enough (STI TMIC) but not with the Green. Most people go front mount to help with the heat soak or a huge TMIC like the APS or Perrin even that is at the edge with the amount of power the Green can put out.

I would love too but their are restrictions to want my wife is willing to life with....

No drop in the ride height

No BOV or intake sound

If I go with a FMIC I will need to move to a RAM or shorty intake and a BOV instead of a bypass value which equals loud intake / BOV noise which then means I have to take all the parts off my wife's Leggy. Instead of the FMIC I bought the APS TMIC (20x6.7x4.5 -big) and a APS recyling BOV and now the grimspeed, 8mm spacer kit w/upgraded gaskets and coated / polished manifold with crossover pipe.....this project is getting expensive! :spin:

^ the xo2 fmic kit u can use the stock intake as well as weld a stock flange for the stock BPV.... a fpgreen with stock intake isnt that too restrictive?? that is a HUGE TMIC... my FMIC is only a little bigger... (24x9x3) holy geez... thats gonna be a really tight fit no??

Shh... Dont try and convince him... Wait till I get my IM and TMIC sold, less competition for my sale ;) lol

And he'd loose the fogs, which are just oooooo so important... Shhh...

If I pass you on the right, I'm flipping you off.

Yikes didn't know about that FMIC kit.....this install is starting to cost some bucks. It would have been cheaper to buy a complete Vortech kit for the Jeep SRT8!

Anyway I grabbed the APS kit because Revolutions installed the same TMIC in a Legacy GT wagon a couple of years back...fitment is tight (you have to remove the stock air spltter in the hood I believe but it will fit). Ted actually installed the Perrin TMIC which is (20x7.5x4) in his wagon two weeks ago. Need to fight that heat soak!

It’s funny how you think you got everything you need and somehow when the install is all said and done you end up dumping a substantial amount more than what you had originally intended. Then you think you’ll be happy forever with your setup and not even a couple months after getting it working right you are looking into increasing the power.

I think the APS kit will work well for you. Everything heat soaks, not just TMIC’s the heat soak isn’t as bad with FMIC but I think you’re TMIC will be enough for your goals and if you aren't staying in boost repeatedly in short time frame or for in boost for long periods of time, I think heat soak will be minimal. Spool will be better with the TMIC also.

Jae, I will call you tonight, I probably won’t be able to meet up with you to go over the hoses till the following weekend on Saturday. Let me know if that will work for you.

I agree 100% on everything - no problem on the hose tighting dates I can work with you on that I have some questions for you tonight on the Green. Talk to you then!
