What will fit in my JDM spec.B - 235/50/17 or 225/50/17 tire with 17x7.5 ET53?

I have JDM B4 spec.B with 18" wheels 215/45/18. But I decide to change the wheels from 18" to 17" becase of bad russian roads. I also going to install Brembo brake which I bought already.

I have bought two set of used rims from japan yahoo auction (almost twice cheaper than new one) - forged gold BBS from Impreza spec.C 17''7.5" ET53 (for winter) and forged bronze Rays from Impreza STI S203 17"7.5" ET53 (for summer). Winter tire is 215/55/17, fit in perfectly. But I don't sure about summer tire size. I think that the 225/50/17 Bridgestoun RE050F will fit in also perfectly. But I want 235/50/17 Yohogama ADVAN Sport V103.

How do you guys think will it fit in without problem?

On a 7.5" wide wheel you should be able to fit most 235 tires, your choice of a 235/50x17 is to tall of a tire. A better fit would be a 235/45x17

235/50x17 when the speedo reads 104km/h you will be going 107km/h

235/45x17 when the speedo reads 104km/h you will be going 103km/h

But in answer to your question YES a 234/50x17 will fit OK on a 17x7.5" wheel

Yes, I know about speed. It is not a problem for me. For me bigger clearance under the car is better. I also going to install lowered suspencion kit - slightly used Ohlins PCV with heigth and rigidity adjustment (if my bid at yahoo will be successful).

The question was mostly about space under the fenders...Is the space enougth for the 235/50/17?

I have used 245/40x17 on my USDM 2006 LegacyGT with no problems. It depends how much you are lowering the car, also with the taller tire you may come close to rubbing the spring perch. There's just no enough information to give you a good answer. You should check out THIS THREAD it list's all the information you should need for stock cars.
