NHLEG
I installed my iON's 3 weeks ago. I felt that my rear drop was too much and just noticed the left rear is about 1/2 inch lower than the right rear. I love the front drop, but the rear just seems to be more than the advertised 1". Unfortunately I didn't do before and after measurements, so I'm not sure what the actual drop was. I stopped by Exeter Subaru today to check out a stock LGT and one of the service guys I know was outside. I had him look at it too and he agreed that the left rear was lower than the right rear and it was definately more than 1" drop. He guessed closer to 1 1/2" to 2" on the left rear. He also noticed that the coil on the bottom of the left rear spring didn't line up perfectly and it almost seemed to look squished out to the side a little. So, what do you think? Are your drops less than mine?
iON Performance
NHLEG - Thanks for having a chance to post the picture. When you were doing some measuring, did you try compressing the rear left corner? Have you see any leaks from the rear left shock? Are the pictures there without a load in the hatch area? Here's some reference pictures from two other members with wagons: http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19550 (stock wheels/tires) http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11524 (225/45/17 Proxes T1's)
HansGT
did you get sedan springs instead? i noticed the back "seems" to drop more, but stock the back seemed to have less gap than the front. i did notice some side to side differences in height but depending where i park it changes on me sometimes. and it only seemed to be about 5-8mm Here are my pics. iON Performance
Han'sGT - Nope those are not Sedan rears; checked the s/n on them against our database and those are for the wagon.
jim1969
this is what I saw when I saw Thrasher's car with the ION springs. The rears looked too close to the tires for my liking. The fronts looked awsome.
LittleBlueGT
The rear of your car looks about 2mm lower then mine. My car sits level, but because the rear wheelwells are cut different then the front it looks a little squishy in the back. I am going to be raising the rear of my car about 5 - 6 mm with some custom made rubber spacers. It just looks too low in the rear with people in the car. deimos
I have the iONs, they were like that in the back for a few weeks until they settled well. One side at the back from installation was always lower, they eventually even out but will be lower in the back. When on level ground the settled drop looks great. NHLEG
NHLEG - Thanks for having a chance to post the picture. Strut does not leak. I am guessing by your comment, "Are the pictures there without a load in the hatch area?" that you agree it looks too low as well. No, nothing there that shouldn't be and 2/3 tank of gas. Also, the first link you posted, the LGT wagon looks higher in the rear than mine. LittleBlueGT - I be interested in hearing more about those custom spacers. I'd like to add 8-10mm in the rear.

LittleBlueGT
LittleBlueGT - I be interested in hearing more about those custom spacers. I'd like to add 8-10mm in the rear. Basically I am cutting a donut looking chunk of rubber from a used tire and putting it on top of the rear springs, between the spring and the rubber on the top hat. There is only room for a spacer of moderate size before control of the position of the top of the spring is inadequate. I won't be doing it until I get new shocks though.
