whitetiger
Ive had my exhaust cutout on my car for some time and all has been well. I get alot of questions about it so i figured id make a thread with some sound and video clips. For those of you who dont know an exhaust cutout is a butterfly valve in the exhaust pipe that you can open and close with a flip of a switch. this allows you to keep your stock catback and mufflers, and still get a freeflowing exhaust when you want. Yo ucan put the cutout anywhere in the exhaust system you want so you can get very creative. Here is a clip of it on my car. This is at idle. I blip the throttle with it closed, then i open it and blip again. (please right click and save as. the server is too slow to stream the video. http://shop.e-tplastics.com/imagehost/misc/autox/cutout.mpg Also he is a link to videos of me autoxing with the cutout open under full throttle. http://www.legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=64283 My exhaust mods are maddad headers, catless cobb DP and stock cat back with qtec cutout installed. whitetiger
the main benefits of this is to have a cheap alternative to buying a full catback exhaust and to be able to turn off all the noise when you want to be stealth.
