EBAY Exhaust installed with Sound Clips!!

Well I Have to say that this exhaust is a pretty good deal. I did have some fitment issues with it though!! one of the tips sticks out farther than the other and that same tip was WAY offset in the exhaust cutout in the body. Well I didnt really like that and I am a very anxious person so I opted to break out the torch and heat it up a little and try to srtaighten it out a bit! I ended up getting it pretty straight I will work on the height a little more even though it is fairly close.

As far as sound goes........I LOVE IT!! I have an AEM intake with stock DP and cobb stg1 the exhaust has a nice low rumble and it really is not loud at all. I have been looking for an exhaust for several months, one that wasn't too obnoxious looking or sounding and this one hit that mark perfectly.

I am interested to hear if there are any other fitment issues, I know there was another member that had none so I hope that mine was a fluke. Anyway here is the Pics and sound Clip, the sound clip is from right behind the car from about 6-8' I will see about getting a better sound clip.

PS no wise cracks about the dirty car we have been burried in snow for like a month out here!!

how far do they stick out? you have any side views. I wonder how it will fit a wagon?

To be honest I dont kow how much longer the tips are in a wagon to compare to, but I will get some side pics before the day is over.

thanks for the pics and sound.....would you say now the piping lies lower or higher than the stock piping?

It does hang a little lower but not too much more, Maybe a little more than the difference of the DIA of the tubing. I have my tips tucked up in the cutuots pretty good also, they are about 1/4" 3/8" from the top. I am very happy with the exhaust "for the price". Like I said before I do have some fitment issues but for $400 you cant beat it.

There is an alternative to adjusting your muffler tips.

Loosen the bolts at the muffler to Y-pipe connection. Have a friend hold the muffler where you want it to be. Tighten bolts.

For some reason, the left muffler is always skewed regardless of the CBE. I think it has something to do with the torque of tightening the bolts moving the muffler. PhilT and Uberwagen (as well as many others) had this problem with their Greddy SP2 and I have had this problem with my stocker and I have had to do this to adjust some of my friends' (non-subaru) cat-backs.

However, if it's really far off, then you'll have to take out the torch.

That sounds good. if the sound level is accurate (about as loud, not softer than actual) then it is probably just about half as loud as what I have now.

How does it sound inside the car, at speed?

the odd fitment is a bit interesting... more info on how you had to center and adjust the muffler fitment would be welcomed, of course.

Side or moderate range perspective photos would be welcomed, to see how the tips and mufflers look from normal viewing angles and heights would be great, too.
