Used the dupli-color darker gray, I really like how it turned out

Japan... they start with a "V"

I went outside and check just for you....lol they are VESTA

I traded them for a set of 17" enkie's he wanted more sidewall, since he was running coilovers, and since i had 17's from the factory, I wanted something bigger. This was while I was in Japan. He had a 96 LGT twin turbo 2.0. I just got back about 2 months ago

I do, I don't like the coloring though. %^* shadows, Its hard to get a good color of what they look like, and the shadows make it worse. Probably the best picture for color is the one with the plate scribbled out^ otherwise its hard to capture the right color, at least until the wife comes with the good camera.

not ricey when done tastefully...stick to black or a fresh coat of silver...you can finish them off with a nice subaru sticker

no subie sticker for me, I am thinking of the same dark metallic grey that I used for the rims, just something to cover up the ugly not rusted but looks pitted or whatever you want to call it factory calipers....:lol:

I used to work at a subaru dealership and one of the techs got LGT front and rear brakes for his wrx and before he put them on he smoothed out and then painted them gloss black and they came out awesome looking. I personally painted mine black with the duplicor balck caliper paint( brush on kit) I wish I would of taken them off and done them how he did.

good to know, I will definitely do that. Some one posted this pic on another forum, my rims reminded him of these.

here is a side shot as requested, the lighting is better, so much better that there are what appear to be white spots on the rims, but its actually just glare.

  • 1 year later...

if anyone is curious, I finally took care of that wheel gap. 2 years later, and the only problem I have with chippage is where the wife...or I curb checked them. Even then there is almost none.:

Here is a side by side of some rotas that I picked up. Still debating which ones I am going to use when I replace my tires:

Also, I learned that these wheels were made by Rays(think volk racing) Apparently they have different rims for different overall style racing/euro etc.(volk, gram lights, etc)
