yamie700
I am just curious how we set up a group buy. I was looking at boost gauges on ebay and I found some from VEI Systems, they look like good quality gauges. I was emailing the vendor and brought up the group buy idea. It seems they are new to the market and they are offering lower prices now to get their name out. I just don't know if there are any rules involved as far as them selling through the forum. Here is what the boost gauge looks like. http://www.veisystems.com/ebay/VBM-operation.jpg Here is their website. http://www.veisystems.com/instruments.html How do we get a group buy going? Guest *Jedimaster*
I like that- reminds me of my GTP. Contact them and tell them you want to set up a group buy and report back to us with excellent pricing.

rallispec
so u need 2 guages? i dont understand no it's just one gauge. THe picture is showing how the bars light up in one direction for postive boost, and the other way for vacuum.
IwannaSportSedan
It'd be better if atmospheric (zero) were at the top, and it swept clockwise in an one color for boost, and counterclockwise from the top in an alternate color for vacuum. Sweeping opposite directions with an overlap like that could get confusing, and perhaps drive people "batty", with it crossing itself in rapid succession. The digital numerics AND analog sweep is nice, though. helps for one glance reading.

legacy2005
thats a nice gauge. would help with reading the gauge at just a quick glance. its definately a pain to try and read a normal gauge while trying to drive. Work hard. Play even harder. My Garage

rubbercow
Their normal price of 89$ isn't very competitive. I'd expect a group buy price of under 60$ to really spark any interest. I'd really like to see a SPA Technique dual gauge group buy someday. Examples: 80$ (Boost Only but Quality Brand) Dakota Digital: http://www.dakotadigital.com/index.c...rod/prd334.htm 258$ (Dual Boost/EGT) SPA (Technique) Design: http://www.hrpworld.com/index.cfm?fo...action=product $110 (Boost with Memory) UltraGage Digital: http://egauges.com/vdo_mult.asp?Type...yber_Red&Cart= 87$ (Boost Only) CyberDyne Digital: http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...=CYB-A013E061Y Obviously, there are tons more, but these are the most popular ones I've seen. Guest *Jedimaster*
The ones you listed don't interest me as much as the one in the thread- I like the bars design as well as the numeric readout.

jim1969
nice but why is boost the only gauge without an alarm setting? does the integrated sensor mean that if the sensor goes so does the whole unit?
wukindada
Also make sure ALL installation pieces are included;) $$ is in hand waiting! Toyota 6EATS .........SUCK!!!!!!
TSiWRX
I'd love one, I just don't know how to install one right now :'( Have a quick search around using the search term(s) "boost+gauge+install" - there's quite a few very good, very detailed "walk-through" threads. <-- I love Winky, my "periwinkle" (ABP) LGT! - Allen / Usual Suspect "DumboRAT" / One of the Three Stooges '16 Outback, '16 WRX, 7th Subaru Family
yamie700
Whoa, this thing got more interest than I thought it would. When I was talking to him before he thought if we got at least 5 people to buy he could do about $60 per gauge. I think he would also do the oil pressure gauge with sender for about that as well. That is the setup that I want, boost and oil pressure gauges.
jim1969
Ask him about EGT and alarm on boost gauge.
yamie700
I just emailed him and asked him to sign up on this site to answer everyones questions directly. Hopefully we can get enough people to do a group buy, it doesn't seem like that will be too hard though as these are some nice gauges.
jim1969
the dim may not work well with subarus. I know oromi gauges need you to make a home made circuit. Subaru does the dimming differently then a lot of other manufactors.
