mach250
Found a 08 spec b on ebay for 18,5 with 36k miles and noticed it was a salvage title among other things. He sent me these pics, what do you guys think? http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii313/andruskitheruski/08%20spec%20B%202011/11993221_2X.jpghttp://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii313/andruskitheruski/08%20spec%20B%202011/11993221_1X.jpg http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii313/andruskitheruski/08%20spec%20B%202011/11993221_4X.jpghttp://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii313/andruskitheruski/08%20spec%20B%202011/11993221_3X.jpg http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii313/andruskitheruski/08%20spec%20B%202011/IMG_7791.jpg Weird thing is the report says April 7th for the insurance claim but the date on the window in the pictures show Feb

Nrw
$18.50? if so that's a deal!
aaronspeed
To me the damage was nothing. I have seen that much damage in a 5 mph impact. All cars are made to fold on impact so it takes nothing for that kind of damage. The only problem is usually getting you insurance company to insure a salvage title even if it is the same company that paid for the damage. lol
mmmmspecb
I would also like some advice on playing with rebuilt/salvage title cars... I have a trade offer for a salvage 08 spec b, but it is scaring me away so far...
mmmmspecb
I thought this looked familiar... this car is for sale on this forum currently too lol. http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/fs-sacramento-ca-2008-legacy-gt-spec-b-36k-miles-164003.html

I doubt you have seen that kind of damage from a 5mph impact. DirtyDan
I was looking to see what a trade in value would be for my '07 Spec B with 42k miles. I was offered $14k, and it doesn't have a salvaged title.
BENCOB
Risky business to say the least. You can not finance it, have to pay cash, then registering it at your domicile. What do you know about the extent of the damage and the quality of the repairs? Just my two bits......
mach250
didnt know you could not get a loan for a salvaged vehicle...guess its out of the question then.
BAC5.2
You CAN get a loan for a salvage vehicle, just not a vehicle loan. You'd need a personal loan. BAC5.2
So? You can still get a loan. If he's willing to buy a car with that much damage and a salvage title, "good ideas" are far from the surface here. bmx045
True, that would not stop him from continuing his skewed path of poor decision making.
BAC5.2
In fact, it would be directly in line with the other bad ideas! mmmmspecb
I'm mulling over a direct trade for a 2008 spec b right now, same deal..., rebuilt title.
GEE-OTTO
Funny how was a total loss, I imagine someone was in a pinch and had GAP insurance LOL. Perfect way out of a high car note when you cant get refinanced Just saw its up for sale for $17,900 WOW that crazy someone is going to land a sweet Spec.B that had IMO moderate front end damage but nothing a new bumper beam, cover, various brackets, head lights, grille, radiator, hood, and plastic fasteners didnt fix
RJS5689
HAH! If I were in the market to buy a new vehicle, I'd sell you my modded, clean-titled 2008 SpecB for 18.5k!
mmmmspecb
another thing to think about is that when it is salvaged/rebuilt... the warranty is immediately eliminated... Scares the shit out of me when you consider all the issues these lgt's are having at low miles... clogged banjo bolt screens leading to blow stock turbo shitty wheel bearings calipers seizing et cetera
