youknowit
http://www.superbrightleds.com/specs/H3_11-WHP.htm Can I use L.E.D bulbs in my fog lights and Headlights? Or will the heat emmited by the light cause problems? 2008 legacy gt
HansGT
From what I remember reading the heat is more of an issue with your headlight.
BAC5.2
You mean use them AS headlights and fog lights? The heat isn't an issue. LED's run quite cool compared to an incandescent bulb. The issue is bulb design. LED's are directional. They have a narrow field of view. Incandescent bulbs, which your headlight housings are designed around, throw light in all directions. The reflectors are designed to focus that light and project it in a very specific area. Using an LED as a headlight will provide an inconsistend spread, and the output will be not optimized for the housing. Can you? Probably. Should you? Not if you actually want to be able to see. Levish
i think those bulbs have way less lumens than normal bulbs and are intended only as "city lights"

youknowit
Well I forgot I posted about this already! Luckily i searched lol. But I’m going to go ahead and do it anyway (Fog Lights), considering the stock fog lights don’t produce much light anyway. So my next question is, which one do I go with? H3-WHP or H3-WHP9 http://www.superbrightleds.com/specs/H3_11-WHP.htm
m sprank
None, your fogs are not H3's. 08 changed. Check your bulbs before buying. I too have been looking into this. www.v-leds.com has better lamps.

Gire
PM PhilT for details. I believe he put in some blinged-out blue cluster LED foglight bulbs in. But he has a 400hp wagon, so a little rice is acceptable.

youknowit
I pmd PhilT and he didn’t use L.E.D bulbs in the stock housing. He just got some off of eBay, since he did a front mount and couldn’t use the stock fog lights. But like I said I already ordered them and I should have them today... (Which took about 3-4 days from west coast to east coast!!!)

m sprank
Nice. The fogs are useless, and I already have HID's. I am tired of replacing expensive halogen bulbs just to match the HID color. This looks like a sharp alternative. I plan on doing my fogs, drl's, stops, front and rear turns, and back ups in LED. All interior lights, puddles, trunk, license plate, and extra ambient lighting is already LED. If you get a chance post a pic n the dark. Thanks! youknowit
You can kinda see them on the road but not much. but i mean the stock fog lights didnt do much, But anyway, Ill be sure to get plenty of pictures tonight because im also hoping to get my L.E.D interior lights as well. m sprank
I don't expect the fogs to be usable, just match my HID's in color (at least close). I need the blinkers, stop lamps and back ups to work. With the HID's I don't use my brights either, so the DRL's are more about looks too.
