Broke right front tire area

I am not sure what i broke.. i was going around a corner and a plow was on the other side i went around him and slid into the curb thought i blew my tire, so when i got to work i looked and sure enough i bent a couple things as well as breaking this thing.. i dont know what its called.. maybe some one can put up a picture of the right front brake, caliper and connection plate? Then i can show you what is bent/broken. Its so aggrivating. even more so that i cant explain it.

how much do you think a lower control arm will run me?

That us the stabilizer bark end link.

 

I don't think they are to expensive, but they'll have to check if anything else is busted, and you'll also need an alignment.

I know people who have driven w/o those front sway bar links --- it won't handle well, and might dip a lot in turns, but should be driveable if that's all you broke.

Just go slow, especially since the roads are crap right now. Handling will be crap and the bad weather will just make it worse. If thats all that broke, you can drive it, just go slow

Yeah that is the sway bar end link. You can drive with out but take it slow.

 

Highly reccomend getting upgraded ones such as

You can still drive your car with a broken sway bar end link. It will have lots of body roll in front, just like a French car.

i think i bent a tie bar too.. which made it very hard to drive, also its very hard to drive when the wheel has been pushed flush against the tire well. i drove it for 2 minutes and then drove back realizing it was not worth it. so i waited 3 hours for my tow to the shop after working all night.. it sucked...

If you bent your LCA, you should use it as an opportunity to order the Spec B aluminum LCAs that kingofparts.com has. It would be an excellent excuse to upgrade says the eternal optimist.

Sadly this was roughly a year ago it happened and I did more dmg than that was well. but I do like the idea of upgraded LCAs.

For now i am going with holly **** that was scary... i am at work now.. we have one of those tall cell towers near our bulding a piece of ice just fell onto the roof from about 300 feet up... damn that was loud. sometimes the ice breaks off of the thick steel cables.. anyways, yeah i am going through insurance and just going to take the surcharge hit... o well.... its better than paying out of pocket anyday.
