LittleBlueGT
Take a look at how BMW has taken their 3.0 liter 6 and gone from two SS turbos to a single TS turbo, boost threshold is actually lower now! Looks like BMW knows a thing or two about TS technology! http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/gg194/littlebluegt/TStech1.jpg Also look at what they did in their V8, 2 TS turbos that use cross-path exhaust routing. One complex manifold, but one nice power-plant!!! http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/gg194/littlebluegt/TStech2.jpg Full tune of 68HTA, KSTech 73 MAF, Racer X FMIC and ID1000s................by the DataLog Mafia!!! Benaaron87
Trust BMW to come up with something like that although they have been on the cutting edge for awhile so yeah it's good to see . Is it likely that this tech will trickle into Subaru

Benaaron87
How much extra though per car . The gains you would make would far outweigh the cost though .

urfsin
With the new LGT turbo system, a Twinscroll aftermarket turbo would be pretty slick. Also, who is gonna be the 1st person here to use the new style exhaust manifold (quicker spool, but it's EL so you loose the subaru "rumble") --> new style turbo (zero aftermarket choices that I know of) --> to FMIC?? IwannaSportSedan
I don't really like the X6... But when the specs came out, I thought the engine was quite interesting. What I REALLY want to see, is a Subaru flat eight, with two top-side Twin-scroll ball bearing turbos. With intake on the bottom side, direct injection, and Toyota's Valvematic continuous variable lift system (a competitor to BMW's Valvetronic system) THAT would be one hell of an engine.
