They're currently painted QSM to match the car, but I was thinking about switching it up for the Summer, and having them tie into the rest of the car's black theme. They would be satin black exactly like the front lip. BigInALegacy Posted June 28, 2009 Author Share Posted June 28, 2009 I think the black is more agressive, which I do like, I'm just hoping it doesn't grab the wrong type of attention from Massachusetts' finest Silver is a bit more subtle and sleeper-ish. I definitely like this too, but it kinda seems like it's lacking something as well. Maybe because I've had it like this since I put them on 4-6 months ago. And yeah, I would like to black out the headlights, and probably leave the chrome ring on the projector, unfortunately I'm too much of a wimp to throw them in the oven for now... In the picture they don't look like they match at all...the most important thing to do here is blackout the headlights, then I say black out the eyelids also, but that's not nearly as important as the headlights. BigInALegacy Posted July 3, 2009 Author Share Posted July 3, 2009 paint came out a little darker than the car, i think cuz i used crappy primer... lesson learned, and one of the reasons I debated repainting them in the first place. And yes, I know it would look ALOT better with the headlights blacked out, but im just way too much of a wimp to crack my headlights open. That being said, I did go ahead and paint them.... BLACK! I think it looks pretty good, and it makes it look more aggressive. It was time for a change... maybe ill get sick of it and respray them after the summer... they're easy enough to pull off and small enough to repaint. Don't remember exactly what they cost, I got them as a package deal with the front lip when they initially introduced the two parts. IIRC it was around $100, give or take.
