Blown engine. It was overheated twice to the point where it seized up... but it still starts right up and doesn't sound very bad... Tough little engine. I'm going to rebuild it someday as a learning experience. But for now it's getting a spare ej22 I have.

WOW! Great score!

Thanks! From your avatar I see you have the same car! I've dreamed about a black LGT for literally years, I'm so glad to finally have one!!

When it gets warmer out I'm going to swap in a 5speed.

Some time this week I need to drive 2 hours to pick up a single port exhaust... Maine is huge. haha.

I've been thinking if the ej22 would line up with the ej25 mani, and I could just plug off the unused port. haha

Yup same car just a manual non limited! Awesome cars btw...

I can't wait till mine runs!

Although, I'm not going to reg/insure it till my other cal sells.

Had some issue with doing the timing belt on my swap motor tonight. The tensioner bracket stripped out. So I went to pull the ej25 bracket. Threads came out with the tensioner bolt  But there's enough clearance behind to just get a longer bolt and use a nut, so off to the hardware store tomorrow, then I can get her all timed up and ready to drop in :)

Biggest thing I'm not looking forward to is torque converter bolts.... How the heck do you access those without pulling the intake mani!?! I've only ever worked with manuals before, I kinda hate autos, this was just to good to pass up...
