SVXWRX
lately when i go to start the car, i put the key in, turn it to start the car and...nothing (besides the dash lighting up.) sometimes the shifter is "locked" in park, and sometimes i can move it around through R,N, and D. after running it through the gears and back into park, it usually starts right up. i guess its a problem with the 'shiftlock' mechanism. this happens about 50% of the time - half the time it starts right up, and sometimes i have to go through this B.S. anyone else have this problem? its pretty annoying. i guess another trip to the dealer is in order <sigh>
ih8vtec13
It sounds like when my jeep had a bad neutral saftey switch gone years ago.

Opie posted it in the Studdering Fix thread, lemme quote it: thanks - hopefully that's the problem. i just hope they don't have to send the TCM to Japan for the reflash like they did with early WRX ECU reflashes. melayout
I think they have to send it out like the ECM reflash for the studdering issue. They should give you a loaner. I keed I keeed
