You got that wrong. When you launch at 5K is when God Himself will kick your rear-end and launch the car. At that point The Devil will be giggling because it will know the tranny is a step closer to grenading.

brembos hold it just fine and i didnt have to mash all that hard on the brake at all. car launched great and it felt clean, i hardly beat the crap out of my car ( working the tranny hard) so im pretty confident that the launch didnt hurt anything, wouldnt recommend doin it often but it did feel great

Gotta admit, I've had my leggy for almost two years now and never have brake-torqued the car. I want to do it sometime, just afraid to break something I can't afford to break

that's not a transmission issue that's something with the PCV system and the motor.

It being ok is based off of many things but mostly personal opinion. I don't have shuddering or any other problems and so I'm just saying I've done it a lot and on a regular basis I abuse the car like it owes me money.

Your right, but man when you do pay it's expensive! My IPT build is going to be 4k + tax. I'll have to keep this car for ten years to justify all the shit I've done to it.

^ and over $100 for tranny fluid, + the cost of a new dp gasket. I'll include the $315 for the rental car I've had for 2 weeks, (the wife won't let me get the BMW out of storage). Oh, and $100 for shipping to IPT. Oh well I'll be happy once I get it back.

Mine was an oil seal in the turbo and was found out because of the broken bushing on the wastegate flapper if not I would still be thinking it's a dying a slow death.
