Hello.

I bought this Legacy from a friend of mine when it happened to die going over the mountain pass.

It being more boxier than the 06, I'm looking more forward to seeing the outcome.

So here's update to the 2nd legacy build as of today.

I am still not too sure which color to go for after all body work has been finished...

I dipped one side blue to see if I like it, it does look bit "ricey" but some what like it.

http://i1078.photobucket.com/albums/w490/sean_123_83/LGT01/IMG_3506_zpsrycnmjmz.jpg

Colors in mind

- Rally Blue

- Black

I received new headlights in the mail.

Before I could install, I needed to remove the ugly orange pieces, so it was baking time :)

Baking

Finished product

Then the rest of the goodies showed up in the mail.

Time to see if they all go well together!

Parts

- 2004 bumper

- Modified headlights

- Fog lights from my 06 legacy

- STI S204 front lip

- New fender

- STI Rear spats

Before installation

http://i1078.photobucket.com/albums/w490/sean_123_83/LGT01/IMG_3540_zpsww1khka8.jpg

After taking all the parts off, she looks sad...lol

http://i1078.photobucket.com/albums/w490/sean_123_83/LGT01/IMG_3542_zpsbg5edu9u.jpg

Installed fender, front bumper and headlights

http://i1078.photobucket.com/albums/w490/sean_123_83/LGT01/IMG_3543_zpsq015ufiw.jpg

Now it was time to install the front lip.

This was pretty difficult since the shape of STI bumper is quite different than the 04 legacy.

Advantage of polyurethane body parts is that heat can reshape them :)

Mounted - before reshaping

After reshaping passenger side

http://i1078.photobucket.com/albums/w490/sean_123_83/LGT01/IMG_3546_zpsir21rifr.jpg

After reshaping all sides - minor errors were fixed after this picture was taken

http://i1078.photobucket.com/albums/w490/sean_123_83/LGT01/IMG_3551_zpsywwxq0d3.jpg

Now the finished product :D

http://i1078.photobucket.com/albums/w490/sean_123_83/LGT01/IMG_3549_zpsbpg0f4zw.jpg

Took picture of the car in a angle to see how it would look all black

http://i1078.photobucket.com/albums/w490/sean_123_83/LGT01/IMG_3552_zpsfwcuuwui.jpg

I think it's starting to come along pretty well...?

Next update will have these things done, parts should arrive next week.

- Aftermarket side skirts

- Rear spat cut and modified to fit 01 rear stock bumper

- 2" fender flares - yes, she will sit wide :D :D :D

By the time those are finished, I will need to make up my mind on color of the car.

Any input would be appreciated!!!!

08/18/15 Update

Side skirt, fender flares, rear spats arrived!

Before installing these parts, I had several things to complete..

Getting out the Bondo and fixing the "cancer" car had on the rear panels first!

Picture was taken before adding few more layers then sanding down smooth.

http://i1078.photobucket.com/albums/w490/sean_123_83/IMG_4047_zpsvay49e28.jpg

Then debadged the whole car :)

Now it was time to install the fender flares!

These fender flares are 2" so soon I will need to correct the offset.

Front Fender view (sorry for the car being dirty...)

Rear fender view - you also see the rear spat on there!!

Now it was time to add the final body piece...skirts!

http://i1078.photobucket.com/albums/w490/sean_123_83/IMG_4052_zpsqfsqv3go.jpg

Few more pictures of the overview

http://i1078.photobucket.com/albums/w490/sean_123_83/IMG_4056_zpscsff2t25.jpg

You notice that I have not cut the original fender panel yet.

This will be cut once offset issue has been corrected first.

Next week the car will be going to be all black and shiny :)

Then tint will come eventually...lol
