Have a 2010 Legacy 2.5i premium. Does anyone know whom is the maker of the OEM stereo? Is it Clarion or who? What I would like to do is buy the Clarion Sirius adapter kit and install it, if it is made by Clarion.

thanks,
brian

Usually you have to buy the Subaru specific kit for Sirius. It's not like buying a clarion aftermarket HU.

But the 2010 could be different.

Harmon Kardon is just the amp and speakers that come with select models/packages. The navigation radio is made by Kenwood, but does not have the hookups for the standard Kenwood satellite radio adapter, just the Subaru one. Just get a dock and play radio and run it through the aux in. Then you can take the radio with you and get more life out of the subscription.

Is the head unit the same between premium and limited? If so just buy the OEM Subaru Sirius Kit.

The HK radio sounds great but you can't really go to a high volume. once you get to 40, you're done.

Yea kinda sucks. However if you don't have the USB media hub, you can use the aux and turn up the ipod volume to compensate. The speakers don't seem to distort or anything with the boost in signal. I guess Subaru doesn't want the customers blasting "don't stop believin'" and blowing the speakers or eardrums.

Yup. The 2009+ BMW 335 has DVD playback (needs a device to trick it to play when moving). I'm hoping w/ its Logic 7 system that it is loud when driving.
