My car is 05 LGT Limited with dual HVAC controls. I was thinking to go with AVO adaptor, but decided to try something else. Did not take any pictures during install, it was real mess and took a lot of cutting, fitting, rewiring etc. What i basically did is, that i removed upper bezel and trim it down to fit 2 din system, but i did not realize there was not enough space lenghswise to fit unit properly, so i had to take unit apart and use some plastic and mounted boards and cooling to fit in to that tight space, don't really reccomend to do it, took 3 nights and a lot of beer to make it work first, and than fit. If i knew how hard it will be to install i would get AVO adaptor or made a car pc. Took pictures of my phone and also video, i know quality sucks, will have to redo it on sunny day. Please let me know what you all think, my next step will be to upgrade speakers with some polk's and maybe 8 inch sub mounted in the rear deck. volodyalysak
Specs for unit say it is 45 Watts X 4, not sure if it is RMS Wattage. With stock speakers it sounds overpowered, thinking to get 4 Polk audio speakers with rms wattage around 50-60 and some type of AMP to power it up + 8 inch sub for the rear deck, still researching on all this.
